Armpit Detox

Have you heard of an armpit detox? Have you tried one? I would love to hear your experiences! It's a little scary to learn about some of the ingredients in regular deodorant products, but switching to a natural deodorant has been a struggle for many people. Why? Possibly due to a few reasons: the accumulation of deodorant ingredients in that area, a lack of perspiration which would have been helping to clean out the area, and an altered bacterial presence -with the stinky bugs being the ones that have taken over.

So how do we make the underarm area pleasant once again? Here are 3 steps to restoring a healthy armpit environment:

1. Before your evening shower, use an armpit detox - the same as you would a face mask (1tbsp bentonite clay + 1tsp apple cider vinegar + 1-2tsp water mixed in glass bowl with wooden spoon to make a thick cream) - spread on armpits and sit back and relax for 5-20mins.

2. After your evening shower, open up a capsule of probiotics and apply the powder to your underarms.

3. In the morning, use something like Dr. Mist deodorant spray which will kill off the unwanted bad bugs in the area.

After a week or two, you may notice a better transition to more natural deodorant products and less irritation and smell. Let me know how it goes!
